Azpilicueta, only sportsman in the Forbes list of the 100 more creative Spaniards
The prestigious Forbes, a reference in the world of business, has just published a list with the 100 more creative Spaniards in the world of business. Among them are CEOs, entrepreneurs, music productors, designers, artists and chefs but only one sportsman: César Azpilicueta.
The international player from Navarre has achieved a solid career in Osasuna, Olympique de Marseille and Chelsea, where he is captain, apart from the national team; and he is now working to create something important away from the pitch: “Success is respect, humility and sacrifice”, said Azpilicueta recently in an interview for ‘Expansión’, and those are only some of the values of Falcons, his eSports company.
Team Falcons is the name of the project that came to life in April, led by César next to Youtubers José Antonio ‘Cacho01’ and Jesús Rincón ‘Delantero09’. Falcons competes in several disciplines at an international level, and also creates entertainment content for their several channels. A couple of days ago he celebrated his first virtual campus with challenges, awards, small talks and formation so that parents and children may take notice of ‘bullying’, how to prevent it and fight against it.
“This is much more than having a player in front of a screen trying to win a match. This is why I want to surround myself with people that aren’t from the world of football; the eSports industry is moving forward. We’ve created a team that works on different areas“, said César.
