Carlo Ancelotti enlarges his legend

The European Champion is also the World Champion. Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to conquer the Club World Cup against Al Hilal this Sunday, defeating the Arab team 5-3 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat (Morocco). A massive victory crowned Los Blancos above the champions of all the continents and brought Ancelotti one step closer to the legend. The current coach of Real Madrid thus adds his fifth world title: three as a coach (Real Madrid ’23, ’14 and AC Milan ’07) and two more as a player (AC Milan ’89 and ’90).

Carlo Ancelotti, in addition to equaling Pep Guardiola (2 Barcelona + 1 Bayern) and Carlos Bianchi (2 Boca + 1 Vélez) in the Club World Cup, has made a direct move and is already the third coach in the history of Real Madrid with the most titles after surpassing a legend like Luis Molowny. With nine titles to his credit, the Italian coach only has Zidane (11) and Miguel Muñoz (14) ahead of him.

Ancelotti, however, continues to demand the maximum. Despite acknowledging his “happiness” for winning the title, he does not take his eyes off the challenges that still lie ahead with Real Madrid: “It was our obligation to win this title. And now we have to continue working harder because this team has a lot of ambition and wants to fight for the League, the Cup, and the Champions League until the end”.
