Agustín Canobbio is a Fluminense player and an international with Uruguay.

Agustín Canobbio is a left winger who plays for Fluminense and is an international with Uruguay. The Uruguayan attacker has been growing in his country’s football until making the leap to Brazil, where he has established himself as one of the most important players in one of the biggest clubs in Brazilian football.
Formed in the youth ranks of Fénix, he made his debut in the Uruguayan First Division at the age of 17 and after making a name for himself in the elite, he made the leap to Peñarol, one of the most successful clubs in South America, in 2018. With the Aurinegros, he won the Supercopa and the Uruguayan League in 2018 and after another spell with Fénix, he was voted best player in his country’s championship in 2021 as a Carbonero.
After excelling in the ranks of Peñarol, Atlético Paranaense acquired his services after paying around two million euros to the Manya team. The Brazilians were thus making a “European-style” transfer for the high amount of money paid, something that did not prevent Cannobio from continuing to grow as a player and excel in a new kind of football for him.
Finally, in 2025, he became a new player for Fluminense, a club with which he played in the first FIFA Club World Cup and where he made history by reaching a historic semi-final in which only champions Chelsea could eliminate him.
Canobbio has played for La Celeste at all youth levels in his country. In addition, as an U-20 player, he won the South American championship and reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in the same category. With the senior national team, he made his international debut in 2022, the year in which he took part in the World Cup in Qatar. He also defended his country’s jersey at the 2024 Copa America.
