Trained in the youth ranks of Recreativo de Huelva, he soon stood out for his audacity and speed. At the age of 17, he made his debut in the Second Division with the first team in a match against Real Murcia, scoring his first goal with the Recreativo shirt. A debut that he dedicated to his family, for whom he feels fervour and who are a fundamental pillar in his life.

His career continued to evolve, passing through teams such as the Celta de Vigo reserve team, Toledo, Almería B and Mérida, until he finally arrived at Cádiz, where he put in some great performances. During his time with the Andalusian team, he scored 7 goals, several of which, due to their beautiful workmanship, have been engraved in the memory of the Cádiz fans.

In 2018, he signed for Rayo Majadahonda, and in the winter market, he signed for Real Sporting, the most important team in his career. With more than 160 games played, the player from Olot enjoyed Gijón and all the particularities that surround Sporting. El Molinón was the scene of his galloping runs down the flank and Aitor is enjoying a period of professional and personal growth in the capital of the green coast.

After five seasons at Sporting, he decided to take on new challenges and Mexico became his new destination. Aitor signs with FC Juárez and soon becomes the new idol of the brava fans thanks to great performances in his first matches. The Olot-born player was able to adapt to a totally different football and culture, scoring 11 goals in 51 games for the team from the border.

In January 2025, Aitor heads to Qatar to join Mehdi Nafti’s Al-Khor in the Qatar Stars League.

At the end of September, Aitor joins the Atromitos project in the Greek Super League. A new experience abroad to showcase his talent and quality.
