Denis Suárez is one of the most promising players in Spanish football. The Galician international with the Spanish national team has had a successful career and leads his own football school.

Formed in Celta’s youth system, Denis made the leap to Manchester City at a very young age, where he participated in the Premier League and Community Shield titles. From the English club, he joined FC Barcelona, where he triumphed in the Second Division reserve team.

That remarkable campaign allowed him to make the leap to the First Division with Sevilla, where he played 46 matches in a historic season. With Denis as the star, the Seville club achieved its highest points tally in La Liga history and won its fourth Europa League, a competition in which the midfielder was key. After a brilliant season at Nervión, Villarreal bet on him as the symbol of their sporting project, and Denis did not disappoint. The Galician was the guide of a “yellow submarine” that reached the Europa League semi-finals and fourth place in La Liga.

The 2015-16 season was the one in which Denis achieved recognition in the elite of Spanish football (Villarreal) and that circumstance didn’t go unnoticed for FC Barcelona. The paths of the international player and Barça crossed again. After a season under Luis Enrique’s instructions, Denis Suárez won several titles under Ernesto Valverde.

In the summer of 2019, after a six-month stint at Arsenal, he decided to return home to join Celta Vigo as one of their key players alongside Iago Aspas and Rafinha. He enjoyed a strong 2021-22 season in Vigo, establishing himself as a manager and adding four goals and six assists.

In January 2023, he signed for Espanyol, where he played until May of that year. In June, his commitment to Villarreal was announced, returning to a team where he left a lasting impression.

Since first wearing the U-16 jersey, Denis has risen through the youth ranks until making his debut with the senior team on May 29, 2016. His successes include winning the 2012 U-19 European Championship and a second-place finish at the 2017 U-21 European Championship. He also participated in the 2013 U-20 World Cup.

Denis, who has more than four million followers on social media, launched the Denis Suárez Soccer School in 2018, a national benchmark in social investment: “I didn’t just want a school to play soccer; I wanted children to be able to learn, through soccer, the value of sport, education, and respect. I wanted to create an effective working method that supports values-based education and protects the learning process of boys and girls. In addition to the sporting component, our commitment also has an educational component.”
