We start 2024 with a renewed desire to continue creating, learning and sharing stories

At ImagoSport we bid farewell to a year that we have lived with intensity and we welcome 2024 with a renewed desire to create, learn and share. With the experience that comes from 13 years of life dedicated to sport and communication and the management of accounts that together exceed 75 million followers, we continue to renew ourselves and commit to grow hand in hand with people and entities with which we share values.

In 2023 we celebrated Juan Mata‘s titles in Turkey and Japan as well as those of Martín Anselmi at Independiente del Valle, helping them to highlight those achievements and manage their departure from their clubs, where the doors will be open to them forever. The same is true of Rodrigo Ely, who celebrated a permanence, which almost tasted more like a title, to leave Almeria through the front door and return to Gremio, the club of his heart.

César Azpilicueta deserves a special mention, as he made one of the most emotional farewells in recent memory. After 10 years at Chelsea, he accepted the challenge of Atlético, and our mission was to design and coordinate the communication of both milestones in the most careful and authentic way. Just as César is.

Carlo Ancelotti also shared special moments. In addition to winning a new cup title and continuing to beat the record number of victories, the Italian wins and convinces on a day-to-day basis, in the press room, with his way of communicating. It is a real luxury to accompany him in his career.

Another coach who closed 2023 with a smile on his face was Miguel Ángel Ramírez. His Sporting finished the year unbeaten at the Molinón and with the unanimous recognition that the Canary Islander and his coaching staff are doing a great job at the red and white club. The same can be said of Borja Jiménez, another young coach who is triumphing in La Liga Hypermotion. The man from Avila started working with us this year and we are convinced that we have a long way to go together.

Carlos Cuellar, who has been with us for the longest time, accepted an offer from Real Murcia last year. There he is triumphing at the helm of the youth team, filling the knowledge tank without forgetting his television collaborations. There is a great coach on the way, as is Nacho Fernández. The Asturian is one of the people responsible for the technical and tactical work of Getafe in La Liga after closing a nice stage in Japan.

Marcelino García Toral and Mehdi Nafti also changed benches. Helping to manage the sometimes complex departures of coaches is one of our jobs. And we are very proud of the way we have helped them to do it.

At Villarreal Marcelino already manages Denis Suárez. The Galician did not enjoy football as much as he likes in 2023, but he knows that you learn as much or more from difficult moments than from successful ones. His was one of the most applauded reflections last year when he shared on his social networks the feelings of an athlete when injuries prevent him from playing.

The one who played all and more in Girona was Oriol Romeu. It was love at first sight. Voted best Catalan player of 2023, the player from Ulldecona signed for Barça in the summer, returning to the club where he was formed and leaving a launched club, to which Portu has returned. Cristian Portugués has a very special place in the hearts of the fans at Montilivi, and it has been a pleasure to manage his return home in terms of communication, as well as off-field causes such as the Charity Tournament for youngsters that he sponsored with the support of his native Beniel Town Council.

Also away from the pitch we accept a challenge like the Tactica Festival in Barcelona. Football and cinema united, because we firmly believe that they have many points in common. During a few frenetic weeks, we managed their networks, organised agendas, looked for media opportunities and, in general, did our bit to raise awareness of a festival full of fascinating stories that surpassed half a million accounts reached on Social Media in its first edition.

The other beautiful challenge of 2023 has been to support Femaddi in its communication. The Madrid Sports Federation for the Intellectually Disabled has allowed us to delve into sport as a tool for integration. We helped Femaddi to give meaning to its communication by including the Sin Connect challenge, which linked Las Rozas with Salamanca by bicycle for charity purposes.

The ambassador of that event was Samuel Sánchez, a tireless adventurer with whom we have been going hand in hand for three years now. Samu entered the gravel field in 2023 as only he knows how, giving it his all: world champion for the over 45s, the Asturian is already preparing new challenges while lending his image to various events and brands that attest to his dedication and ability to transmit the values of sport.

This is precisely what he achieves with the Samuel Sánchez MMR Academy, a cycling academy that is another of our hopes. They closed 2023 as the second best junior team in Spain and, more importantly, educating through sport youngsters such as Marcel Beloki, the last of their cyclists to turn professional. The future is his, and the same can be said of Hugo Novoa. The Galician has established himself in the year that is coming to an end as a permanent member of the Spanish under-21 national team and dreams of going to the Olympic Games in Paris.

Thanks for joining us!
